A Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and on schedule. They manage production teams, monitor quality standards, optimize workflows, control costs, coordinate with various departments, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with safety and industry standards. Their role focuses on maximizing productivity, minimizing waste, and driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.

Plan, organize, and oversee daily duct manufacturing activities. Develop production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements. Monitor production targets and ensure maximum productivity. Coordinate with the estimation, sales, and project teams to prioritize orders.
Supervise production supervisors, machine operators, fabricators, welders, and helpers. Allocate manpower according to production requirements. Train employees on manufacturing processes, safety procedures, and quality standards. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements.
Ensure all ductwork is manufactured in accordance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and SMACNA/DW144 standards (where applicable). Implement quality control procedures throughout the production process. Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Monitor machine utilization and production performance. Introduce continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity.
Monitor raw material stock levels including GI sheets, aluminum, stainless steel, insulation, flanges, and accessories. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability. Minimize material wastage and maintain inventory accuracy.
Ensure all factory machinery and equipment are properly maintained. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Minimize production downtime through effective maintenance planning.
Enforce company HSE policies and procedures. Ensure employees use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a safe and clean working environment. Investigate accidents and implement preventive measures.
Monitor production costs including labor, materials, and overheads. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality. Prepare production reports and analyze manufacturing performance.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and project management teams. Ensure finished products are delivered according to project schedules. Resolve production-related issues affecting project timelines.
Maintain production records and manufacturing reports. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports. Ensure compliance with ISO and company documentation requirements.
